What is planned?

The programme takes inspiration from the Festival of Britain and music from the 1920s to the 1960s. Visitors can expect live jazz, swing dance performances, interactive dance sessions and retro music.

Families can join free drop-in craft activities and an all-ages painting session. Independent shops and studios around the wharf will also be open, giving visitors a chance to meet local makers and browse handmade work.

Make a free day of it

Food, drinks and shopping cost extra, but the entertainment and workshops are free. Bring water and a snack if you want to avoid spending.

Combine the festival with a walk along the Thames. The National Theatre, Southbank Centre, Tate Modern and riverside views are nearby.

Getting there

Gabriel’s Wharf is on Upper Ground between the National Theatre and Oxo Tower Wharf. Waterloo, Blackfriars and Southwark stations are within walking distance.
